What’s your favorite part of your job?
Working with nonprofits because they are the backbone of our society; nonprofits do the work that really can’t be done effectively by government agencies or commercial businesses, motivated purely by altruism. I might not have the talents our clients do – designing programs, developing funder relationships, etc. – but it is rewarding to relieve them of many of the administrative burdens of financial management.
For 24 years I owned my own firm, and in the final few years I began exploring partnerships with larger organizations that shared the culture my team and clients valued. HFCO quickly stood out—the people are genuinely happy, committed to service, and focused on what truly works. Joining HFCO felt like the right fit, and I’m proud to be part of this team.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A movie star!
