Coaching since 2006, Dave has worked with leaders and teams across the United States and internationally (Nigeria, Thailand, UAE, Canada) on improving leadership effectiveness and team performance. His leadership career includes serving six years in the U.S. Navy, followed by a 20-year career that included operations leadership positions with Quaker Oats, General Mills and Coca-Cola Enterprises.
Key lessons from a career in leadership and coaching include the realization that leadership does not come naturally, but rather is the result of training, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, organizational commitment (culture) and effective coaching. Being an effective leader can be very hard yet rewarding work, and organizational results depend on leadership effectiveness above all.
